Beechworth INC represents a new chapter for the Beechworth Chamber of Commerce, designed to embody the values of strength, connection, support, heritage, and ingenuity. The logo’s arch, structured lines, and “keystone” draw inspiration from Beechworth’s well-known architectural features, especially the historic Newtown Bridge.
The colors of gold, burgundy, and grey in the branding represent the honey-colored granite buildings, rich history of the gold rush, vibrant autumn leaves, and cherished heritage structures that make Beechworth unique. Together, these elements honor the town’s legacy while symbolizing a promising path forward.
The Newtown Bridge, built in 1875 by Fiddes and Co. with the craftsmanship of Scottish stonemasons, was created to replace an older wooden structure, with a vision to last for 200 years. Using keystones to securely interlock the granite blocks with mortar, this bridge is an enduring symbol of resilience, connecting Beechworth to its past and supporting both the community and its visitors.
